BAKIT UMIYAK SI MARIA?
(Why Mary cried?)
Almost 20 years ago, may nakita
My knowledge and beliefs on the
true character or personality of Mary when the message from God’s Word goes
like this: Luke 1:46-50
V48b
“(Mary said:)…for behold from this time on all generations will count me (Mary)
blessed.”
It was a humble acceptance of her
state. She didn’t claim glory and honor
for herself because she didn’t stop on that claim “count me blessed” but rather she continued saying on the next
verse (49) the real heart of Mary when she said, “For the Mighty One has done great things for me.” And she continue to praise God “And Holy is His Name” (v49b).
She even honor and exalts the
Lord. She recognized that God is her
Savior (vv. 46-47) and she a bondslave – a remarkable humble acknowledgement of
Mary!
And the promise that MERCY IS UPON
GENERATION AFTER GEBERATION TOWARD THOSE WHO FEAR HIM” (V50) is also a great
reminder and warning for the generations to come. There will be MERCY if we FEAR Him, fear here
means REVERENCE to God alone. Honor and
glory to Him alone and He doesn’t want to share that glory to anyone lest to
any human being – because nobody can
equal GOD!
If we just imagine the negative
implication of not giving reverence to God alone, what will negate the word
MERCY then?
So in this season that we are
celebrating may the Almighty God rebuke us to repentance. And may Mary stop from “grieving” because in
the first place she is also human like us – a humble and obedient bond-servant
of God.
May the good Lord bless you and
praises and thanksgiving to our Lord Jesus Christ!

good read.i just wish mabasa ito nga mga nananampalataya kay MAria. then again i think they would find this "blasphemous".
ReplyDeletethe Lord Himself will touch the hearts of those who will read....it is by the grace of God that they will open their hearts, along with their mind and eyes....we meant it to be reaching them with the Word of God....God is a jealous God, He doesn't want to share His glory to anyone....
